Vintage 9ct gold ring from the 'Finnish Beast' collection by renowned jeweller, Ola Gorie. It pays homage to the Viking culture.

In 1968, a bronze and iron sword with an intricately carved hilt was found in a Viking grave in Suontaka, west of Helsinki. Ola studied the hilt and, inspired by the interweaving lines, she created the collection named 'Finnish Beast' - no one is sure whether the animal portrayed is a horse, a dragon or something even more mysterious.

Hallmark: Maker's mark 'OMG', gold crown mark, '375' for 9ct gold, assay Edinburgh, the date letter 'U' for 1994 (partially worn).
