Vintage Malachite Statement Pendant

Statement vintage pendant consisting of a large tear drop shaped of malachite with a 9ct rose gold bale, circa 1960s. 

The malachite is beautiful, marked with bands of intricate concentric striping in contrasting shades of basic green, from pale to almost black layers. 

Worn as jewellery for thousands of century's and carved into talismans, malachite was also loved by ancient Egyptians who used malachite amulets to ward off evil.

Condition: In good vintage condition, 3 small chips present to the edge of the malachite commensurate with age and use.
