Vintage Green Banded Agate Ring 9ct Gold

Vintage 9ct gold 1935 ring, bezel set with a striking green banded cabochon agate.

The ring has a closed back setting and has a personalised inscription to the underside.

The agate is in lovely condition,  consisting of various different shades of green in a wavy formation.

This may possibly have been a signet ring, with the agate setting added at a later date.

Agate: 19mm x 12mm inclusive of setting

Inscription: 'FIC to GP 25.12.35' 

Hallmark: Maker's mark 'HTC&S', '9 375' for 9ct gold, Birmingham assay

Height: Sits 6mm off the finger

Size: UK N, EU 54, USA 7

Condition: There is fading to the inscription & hallmarks. Some slight thinning to the width of the band at one side of the ring commensurate with age and use.
