Vintage Garnet 9ct Gold Ring

Vintage 1976 statement ring with an ornate rococo style design. The ring is bezel set with five garnet gemstones, in 9ct yellow gold openwork scroll design. The decorative design extends down the shoulders of the ring, incorporating small gold finials. This ring is beautifully crafted and in excellent condition.

The name garnet comes from the Latin word granatus, which means pomegranate. It is the birth stone for January and has been used in jewellery as far back as the Bronze Age.
