Vintage 9ct Gold Blue Topaz Drop Earrings by Ortak

Beautiful vintage 9ct yellow gold drop earrings by renowned Scottish Orkney jeweller, Ortak.

The earrings depict Celtic knotwork interlacings which are popular in the Pictish School of Celtic art. The knotwork consists of one continuous interlacing line symbolising the hope of eternal life.

The earrings are bezel set with an oval cut faceted blue topaz, complimenting the yellow gold perfectly.

Hallmark: Maker's mark 'M.G' for Malcolm Gray trading as Ortak, gold crown symbol, '375' for 9ct gold, assay Edinburgh, date letter 'S' for 1992
