Antique T-Bar 9ct Gold
Antique 9ct yellow gold T-bar, in lovely condition, circa 1900 - 1910. The bar has two 9ct gold bales, ready to be added to a chain.
The T-bar was originally worn as part of a pocket watch Albert chain, holding the watch in place through a button hole. As wrist watches became more common, Albert chains became repurposed & worn as necklaces with T-bars repurposed into pendants.
Both bales are hallmarked '9 375' for 9ct gold. The bar is marked 'WJS' for William J Sutton, established in Birmingham in the late 1800s.

Hallmark: Marker's mark 'WJS', assay Birmingham, '9 375' for 9ct gold.
Weight: 4.5g
