Antique Ruby & Diamond 18ct Gold Ring

Beautiful antique Edwardian ring. It features a central oval cut natural ruby, embellished with 4 small round cut rubies and 4 old cut diamonds, in an 18ct yellow gold setting.

The rubies are a gorgeous deep berry pink, the old cut diamonds are very clear, bright and sparkling. The openwork setting allows light enter under the gems, illuminating their sparkle.

Records suggest that rubies were traded along China’s North Silk Road as early as 200 BC. They are the birthstone for July and are symbolic of love, commitment, passion, protection, and prosperity, therefore they make the perfect romantic gift.
