Antique Citrine Shamrock Pendant 9ct Gold
Antique Citrine Shamrock Pendant 9ct Gold
Antique early 20th century Edwardian 9ct yellow gold pendant depicting a shamrock, the leaves are set with pear cut citrine gemstones.
The shamrock is said to represent faith, hope & love. Since its use by Saint Patrick, the shamrock has been associated with Ireland. In his work as a missionary, it is told that Saint Patrick used a shamrock as a metaphor to explain the Holy Trinity - where the three leaves represented God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Pendant: 22mm x 18mm
Drop: 27mm
Weight: 2.2g
Condition: The pendant is on lovely condition, the lower right citrine appears to have been set in reverse which does not detract from this beautiful pendant.
The pendant will be supplied in a new presentation box.
