Antique Edwardian Carnelian 9ct Rose Gold Pendant

Antique Edwardian pendant set with an octagon cut carnelian plaque, bezel set in a 9ct rose gold. The carnelian has a stylish oval frame embellished with gold spheres.

Carnelian jewellery has been unearthed in a number of sites dating as far back as 5500 BC. It is known that the Egyptians associated carnelian with reinvigoration of the spirit and body.
