Vintage Acrostic 'Dearest' 9ct Gold Ring

Vintage Victorian style 9ct yellow gold acrostic 7 stone ring, the first letter of each gem spells out the word 'Dearest'.

This half hoop ring is bezel set with x1 diamond, x2 emeralds, x1 amethyst, x1 ruby, x1 sapphire and x 1 tourmaline in a scroll gallery, embellished with small gold finials that extend to the engraved shoulders.

The ring is in wonderful condition, all gems stones are intact.

Acrostic jewellery became popular during the Victorian period, given as a romantic gift to convey secret love messages spelt out in gemstones.
